The Automotive Technical Trainer – Service Centers will be responsible for developing technician capabilities and ensuring consistent technical quality across PakWheels Service Centers. The role requires a hands-on automotive professional who can train, assess, diagnose, audit, and improve technician performance—not someone limited to classroom training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct practical and theoretical training for new and existing technicians on Service Center SOPs, vehicle maintenance, VAS, oil changes, and workshop procedures.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to technicians, diagnose technical issues, demonstrate correct procedures, and verify completed jobs.
  • Conduct practical technical assessments and maintain technician competency/skill matrices.
  • Perform regular and random quality audits to ensure SOP compliance and identify technical errors, rework, and training gaps.
  • Train technicians on OBD scanners, diagnostic equipment, workshop tools, and machinery.
  • Identify recurring technical issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective/refresher training.
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement of technical processes across Service Centers.
  • Maintain training, assessment, audit, and technician performance records and share regular reports with management.

Requirements

  • DAE / Diploma / B.Tech in Automobile, Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on automotive workshop experience, preferably with authorized dealerships or organized service centers.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, VAS, oil changes, and different vehicle makes/models.
  • Hands-on experience with OBD scanners and automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience in technician training, technical assessment, quality control, or workshop supervision.
  • Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with multiple vehicle brands.
  • Automotive diagnostic or technical training certifications.
  • Experience conducting workshop quality audits.
